Now the year of 2010 is coming to its end. It’s been a great year with lots of wonderful days and I will remember this year for a long time.

These last days before I go home we don’t do much, we just relax and try to get as much rest as possible. So today we spend most of the day at the hotel therefore I decide I should photograph the sunset at Bahia Feliz but I got there a little bit too late but managed to take one okay picture and I got to photograph the waves with a longer shutter speed.

Merry Christmas!

Today we went on a trip in the mountains, the view was wonderful!!!

We drove up towards Pica de Las Nieves which is the highest mountain at Gran Canaria, it was a long, narrow and curvy road. Kind of scary sometimes so I’m glad I wasn´t driving.

Especially on the way back down when we had to drive thruogh a very thick cloud and almost dind´t se anything.

Today we drove along the south cost of Gran Canaria, some of our stops were Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas and Puerto Rico.

In Maspalomas there was a long beach and in one end there were sand dunes, like in the desert “the dunes of Maspalomas”. It was quite a sight since I’ve never been in that kind of nature.

We watched the sunset at a lighthouse near the Maspalomas sand dunes, I hoped to get a good picture of the lighthouse when the sun was right at the horizon but no, there were too many people and to many bars and restaurants.

But I got the surfers out in the water there are two in this picture. Se them?

Finally at Gran Canaria! We arrived yesterday after some delays with the flight.

We were so afraid that we would miss our second flight in Barcelona since we already were more than half an hour late from Sweden and we only had 40 minutes to transfer in Barcelona. We weren’t going to make it to the next flight. We thought.

Then we finally took off from Sweden. After a flight of three hours we were almost there and the captain started talking about transfers in the plane radio. And to our surprise we already sat in the plane that was going to take us to Las Palmas! So there were no chance we were going to miss it!

Yesterday was spent checking in to the hotel and going shopping for some food. I only took one single picture… So now I’m going for a walk around the hotel and down to the sea to take some nice pictures!
